About Andy

Learn a little about me, the brands I've worked with, and the services I offer.

Who is Andy?

Quality content turns an average product into something customers actually care about.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many great companies use content to transform their brands. From creating the brand voice and tone, to enhancing the user experience, I can help improve the customer perception of your brand.

After all, I literally wrote the book on UX writing.

What I offer

UX writing

As one of the world's leading UX writing experts, I've worked on both B2B and B2C products, led and created writing teams, and I created the YouTube channel UX, He Wrote. I also specialize in the niche area of accessibility for UX writing and design.

Training
and consulting

Whether you're an individual wanting 1-on-1 training and a portfolio review, or a team looking for guidance on how to better incorporate UX writing into your product design, I can help.

Brand
tone and voice

Tone and voice is an important part of the brand image. Don't leave this up to your branding or design team to define. You need a content strategist. I've helped craft and define the brand tone and voice for Trip.com, Alibaba, realme, and most recently AfterShip.

Product
marketing

Being a wordsmith makes me the perfect person to help brands go global. Most recently I've worked with realme on their first flagship phone, the GT 2 Pro. I specialize in product pages and product launch events. I even presented part of realme's product launch onstage.

Chinese-English
translation

Before becoming a leading expert in UX writing, I worked in translation for some of the world's largest translation agencies. I've had the chance to work with huge names and brands from a range of fields, including Nike, HSBC, Oppo, and the Journal of Chinese Humanities.
